The Copa America continues in the USA, and today the first matches of the final round of the group stage began.

In the first match at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Argentina faced Peru. The world champions had already secured their place in the playoffs, so this match held no significance for them. However, the Argentinians still pressed their opponents. In the first half, they took six shots, three of which were on target, but they couldn’t open the scoring.

Early in the second half, Ángel Di María delivered an incredible pass to Lautaro Martínez, who found the back of the net. A few minutes later, Argentina earned a penalty, but Leandro Paredes hit the post. Fans did get to see more goals, though. Towards the end of the match, Lautaro Martínez scored again, securing a brace and setting the final score.

In the second match at Orlando City Stadium in Orlando, Canada faced Chile. The match was quite balanced, but the South American team was reduced to ten men in the first half. Toulouse defender Gabriel Suazo received two yellow cards for rough tackles and was sent off in the 27th minute.

Throughout the match, both teams took seventeen shots in total, with ten on target, but neither could break the deadlock, resulting in a goalless draw.
