Italian reporter Fabrizio Romano has shared new information about the ongoing talks between Mohamed Salah and Liverpool to extend his contract. Although the team really wants to keep the Egyptian player, there are disagreements about how much he should be paid and how long the contract should last, which has caused a big problem.

Salah currently makes £350,000 every week, which is a lot of money. Liverpool is reportedly not happy about keeping this amount in their budget. Romano said, “People at Liverpool say they really want to talk again and find a way to move forward.” But he also mentioned that the main issue is still about how much Salah wants to be paid.

There has been a lot of talk about where Salah could go in the future, with teams such as Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Miami, Inter Milan and Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ittihad mentioned. It is important to note that PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has said that there are no ongoing talks with Salah.

Salah's on-field exploits are still outstanding; he just added two goals to his Premier League total of 13 goals in Liverpool's exciting 3-3 tie with Newcastle. With 21 goals apiece, the 31-year-old and Harry Kane are tied for first place in Europe's top five divisions this season.

As Liverpool seeks to retain their star while balancing financial constraints, Salah’s future at Anfield remains a focal point of interest across the footballing world.
