Algeria sets the date for the publication of Brahim Hemdani’s first squad list for the international break

The Fennecs’ new head coach will reveal the names of the players called up on 17 September at a press conference.

Algeria is preparing for the first two matchdays of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations and the international friendly against Niger. Ahead of these three fixtures, Brahim Hemdani, who recently took charge of the Algerian national team, will announce the list of players set to take part in the upcoming training camp.

The new manager will hold a press conference on Thursday 17 September at the Nelson Mandela Stadium. It is during this press conference that Brahim Hemdani will reveal his selections for the September–October 2026 international break.

Algeria will kick off their qualifying campaign for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations against Zambia on 25 September at the Hocine Ait Ahmed Stadium in Tizi Ouzou. Les Fennecs will travel to Burundi on 29 September for the second match of the qualifiers. This match will be played at the Intwari Stadium in Bujumbura.

Brahim Hemdani’s side will also play an international friendly against Niger on 6 October at the Hocine Ait Ahmed Stadium in Tizi Ouzou.
