On March 30th, as part of the 30th round of the English Premier League, Chelsea and Burnley met at Stamford Bridge in London. The "Blues" approached this match with hopes of qualifying for European competitions by the end of the current season, while Sean Dyche's team aimed to secure their place in the top flight.

Chelsea looked more promising in the first half and took the lead just before halftime thanks to Palmer's converted penalty. Interestingly, Burnley was reduced to ten men due to Assin's two yellow cards. However, despite being a man down, Burnley managed to prevent Chelsea from securing all three points. Initially, they equalized through Callen's efforts, but Palmer once again put his team ahead. Just three minutes later, Burnley scored again, snatching a crucial point from London.

Predictably, Pochettino expressed disappointment with the result at the post-match press conference. With ten matches remaining, the London side currently occupies the 11th position in the league table but still holds decent chances of qualifying for European competitions.
