After missing out on Guehi, Arsenal shifts focus to another Crystal Palace defender
After failing to land Marc Guehi, Arsenal have redirected their transfer strategy and are now eyeing another Crystal Palace defender while also closely monitoring Newcastle’s dynamic winger.
According to the Daily Express, the Gunners have turned their attention to Maxence Lacroix. The 191 cm tall centre-back is regarded as a top-tier reinforcement for elite clubs and is already on the radar of Arsenal and Liverpool scouts.
The 25-year-old Frenchman has made an impressive adaptation to the Premier League following his move from Wolfsburg in the summer of 2024, wowing with his physical presence and reliability at the back. However, Crystal Palace are reluctant to lose two key defenders in the same window, so if a Lacroix transfer does materialize, it’s likely to be postponed until the summer.
