AS Monaco midfielder Youssouf Fofana is showcasing excellent performance at his club. He played 43 matches for his team last season and was called up to the national team for Euro 2024, where he has already made two appearances, albeit from the bench.

This has piqued the interest of top European clubs. According to Football Italia, representatives from Juventus, Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain are monitoring the 25-year-old. Now, another Italian giant, AC Milan, has joined the race.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the Rossoneri are the main contenders for signing the player. However, the stumbling block is the price set by the French club. Monaco is asking for €25 million, but with Fofana’s contract expiring next summer, AC Milan considers this amount too high and is willing to pay €18 million. It's also important to note that Milan has not yet held talks with the player or agreed on personal terms.

Fofana joined AS Monaco in 2019 from Strasbourg for €15 million. According to statistical portals, his current market value is €30 million.
