In yesterday's match against Huddersfield (5:0), Manchester City's leader Kevin De Bruyne made his first appearance on the field after a prolonged absence due to injury. The Belgian immediately contributed with an assist to Jeremy Doku, achieving a unique milestone.

No player in the top 5 European leagues has more assists than De Bruyne since the 2022/23 season began. During this period, the 32-year-old midfielder has recorded 30 assists.

Remarkably, De Bruyne achieved these statistics despite participating in only three matches in the current season, playing a total of 82 minutes. This was enough for him to provide two assists. In the previous season, he contributed with 28 assists.

Earlier, it was revealed that De Bruyne is one of the main transfer targets for the Saudi Arabian owners of the club during the upcoming summer transfer window.

De Bruyne has been playing for Manchester City since the summer of 2015, when he transferred from Wolfsburg for €76 million. Before that, he played for Chelsea, Werder Bremen, and his hometown club, Genk.
