The match against Copenhagen will mark the 900th for Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola in his career, as reported by 3cat.

In the Danish capital, the Spanish tactician will reach the milestone of 900 matches as a coach. He began his career back in 2007, making his debut in a friendly match between Barcelona B and Gramenet. His successes with Barcelona B didn't go unnoticed, and by the end of May 2008, Guardiola replaced Frank Rijkaard as the head coach of Barcelona's first team.

During his four years at Barcelona, he won three league titles and two UEFA Champions League trophies. He then moved on to Bayern Munich, where he won three league titles in three seasons but fell short in claiming the ultimate European prize. On February 1, 2016, Manchester City announced that Pep Guardiola would be their next coach.

This decision proved to be historic. Overall, during his tenure at City, Guardiola has won five league titles, four EFL Cups, two FA Cups, and two FA Community Shields. For a long time, he struggled to secure the coveted UEFA Champions League trophy. However, that finally changed in the 2022-23 season.

The Opta supercomputer has named the favorite to win the UEFA Champions League 2023/24.
