Moroccans finally found a reason to celebrate nearly two months after the AFCON final.

Details: After CAF's announcement yesterday that Senegal would be handed a 3-0 technical defeat in the AFCON 2025 final, Morocco fans flooded the streets waving flags and national colors to celebrate a tournament victory that came their way despite losing the match on the pitch.

On social media, this behavior from Moroccan fans was sharply criticized, with many saying this is clearly not the kind of victory that deserves such an exuberant celebration.

However, it's worth noting that the Moroccan joy might be premature: the Senegalese national team has officially protested CAF's decision.

The match itself ended with Senegal winning 1-0 courtesy of a Pap Gueye goal in the 94th minute of extra time. Earlier, Morocco's forward Brahim Diaz failed to convert a penalty deep into stoppage time (90+6'), a moment that sparked a real scandal as Senegal's coach led his team off the pitch in protest against the controversial penalty call.
