Enzo Maresca is gradually clearing out the remnants of the previous era at the Etihad.

Details: According to Fabrizio Romano, Nottingham Forest are showing interest in Manchester City midfielder Tijjani Reijnders. The Dutchman is on the Forest shortlist, and earlier in June, Newcastle had also shown concrete interest in him.

Reijnders made the switch to Manchester City from AC Milan in the summer of 2025 for €57 million, but he never managed to become a key figure in the heart of midfield. His playing time gradually decreased, and it's no surprise that the Citizens have put the 27-year-old midfielder on the transfer list and are open to offers. Earlier reports suggested City value the player at around €50 million—a price tag that proved to be a stumbling block for Newcastle.

Here's an interesting twist: Forest's interest in Reijnders seems symbolic, as this summer the Reds sold their main midfielder, Elliot Anderson, to Manchester City for a record £116 million and are now searching for his replacement at the Etihad.

Reminder: Grealish to leave Manchester City? Al Hilal and Atletico Madrid locked in transfer battle for the Englishman.
