The Saudis are gearing up for Cristiano Ronaldo's eventual departure.

Details: According to the BBC, 33-year-old Liverpool and Egypt national team winger Mohamed Salah has decided to leave Liverpool this summer to join a club in Saudi Arabia.

Reports indicate that Salah has become the number one transfer target for Saudi club owners after it became clear that next season would be the last in Cristiano Ronaldo's illustrious career. In a bid to maintain the excitement and global interest in the Saudi Pro League, club owners are planning several high-profile signings, with Salah's transfer topping the list.

Besides the Egyptian, the Saudis are also targeting Vinícius Júnior and Jérémie Boga, both of whom are facing uncertainty regarding new contracts at their current clubs.

Mohamed Salah joined Liverpool from Roma in 2017 for €42 million. This season, Salah has played 21 matches for the Reds, scoring 5 goals and providing 4 assists.

Salah's current contract with Liverpool runs until the summer of 2027, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €30 million.
