A new challenge! Mario Balotelli joins a team from the United Arab Emirates

After making six appearances for Italian side Genoa in the 2024/25 season, Italian striker Mario Balotelli has found a new team. He has joined Al-Ittifaq, a club representing the second tier of the United Arab Emirates league.

Details: Following the termination of his contract with Genoa, where Balotelli played six matches without registering a goal or assist, the forward decided to embark on a new journey in an exotic league. He has signed a contract with Al-Ittifaq, who compete in the UAE First Division, until the end of the season.

After 11 matches, the team has managed to score only six goals, collected six points, and sits at the bottom of the table in 15th place. Balotelli has been brought in to turn the team's fortunes around.
