A lucrative option. Former Orlando Pirates coach could become the highest-paid in Africa

Jose Riveiro has decided to leave Orlando Pirates after several highly successful seasons. However, it seems he won’t be out of work for long.
Details: According to IOL Sport, Egyptian giants Al Ahly are considering appointing Jose Riveiro as their new head coach. What’s more, he could become the highest-paid manager on the entire African continent.
Riveiro will not finish the season with Orlando Pirates. He managed the team in the South African Cup final, and his last match at the helm was a commanding 3-0 win over Golden Arrows.
Orlando agreed to release the Spanish tactician early, as he is eager to join Al Ahly as soon as possible and begin preparing the squad for the FIFA Club World Cup, which kicks off in June.
By the way, the Pirates are considering several candidates for the head coach position. The club is keen on bringing in Benni McCarthy, who is currently working with the Kenyan national team.
Reminder: Alongside Jose Riveiro, one of his former protégés could also make the move to Cairo — winger Monnapule Saleng may follow him to Al Ahly.
