Bayern Munich has officially appointed Vincent Kompany as the new head coach to prepare the team for the upcoming season. However, they have not yet settled the matter with the previous coach.

According to Christian Falk, the club has agreed to pay compensation to Thomas Tuchel for terminating his contract. The German specialist will receive a fixed amount of approximately 10 million euros. However, if he finds a new job before the end of his contract with Bayern, part of his compensation will be forfeited. His current contract runs until June 2025.

Vincent Kompany will earn a salary ranging from 7 to 9 million euros per year, depending on performance-related bonuses.

Interestingly, Bayern Munich's bosses cited an unexpected reason for Tuchel's refusal to negotiate a new contract. They believe he ended the talks because he had already received an offer from Manchester United.
