English giants Manchester United have made initial contact regarding a potential move for Borussia Dortmund's 26-year-old midfielder Felix Nmecha during the upcoming winter transfer window.

Details: According to British sports outlet TEAMtalk, the Red Devils' recruitment department considers the Germany international a key target to strengthen their midfield. However, Dortmund's hierarchy have set demanding financial terms, asking for between €90 million and €100 million for their leading central midfielder.

The Black and Yellows have no intention of voluntarily weakening their squad midway through the season and hope such a hefty asking price will cool interest from Premier League representatives. Old Trafford officials continue to assess the financial viability of a January deal, weighing up the possibility of proposing a structured payment schedule that includes a substantial bonus package.

It is worth noting that Felix Nmecha is very familiar with the Manchester football scene, having graduated from Manchester City's academy. After joining Borussia Dortmund from Wolfsburg in the summer of 2023 for €30 million, the tall and technically gifted midfielder has established himself as a key component of the team, while regularly featuring for the Germany national team.
