A German cyclist has set a world record in track cycling
At the 2024 Olympic Games, track cycling events are underway. On Friday, August 9, the women's sprint took place.
German cyclist Lea Friedrich crossed the finish line first in the qualification and advanced to the final. More notably, she completed the distance on the track in 10.029 seconds, achieving an average speed of 71.792 km/h, which is a new world record.
Lea Friedrich is a silver medalist from the 2020 Olympics and a world champion.
Additionally, Indonesian lifter Rizki Juniansyah won the gold medal in the 73 kg weightlifting category at the 2024 Olympics, setting a new Olympic record.
