Indonesia's Juniansyah wins gold in the men's 73kg weightlifting with an Olympic record

Indonesian weightlifter Rizki Juniansyah won the gold medal in the 73 kg weight category at the 2024 Olympics.

In addition, the Indonesian athlete set a new Olympic record in this weight category. The 21-year-old successfully lifted a total of 354 kilograms (kg).

The silver medal was claimed by Virapong Vichuma from Thailand, while the bronze went to Bozhidar Dimitrov Andreev from Bulgaria.

Juniansyah secured the second gold medal for Indonesia at the Paris Games. In total, athletes from Indonesia have won three medals, with one being bronze.
