A blow for the Senegal national team
Pape Thiaw will not be able to count on Iliman Ndiaye for the friendly matches against Peru and Gambia.
Called up for the international break, the Senegalese Everton striker will ultimately be unable to play on 28 and 31 March. According to the Senegalese press, he is suffering from discomfort in his foot. He is another key member of the Lions of Teranga squad who will miss both friendly matches, following Sadio Mané.
This news comes on the eve of Senegal’s match against Peru, scheduled for Saturday 28 March at the Stade de France. It will be the Senegal national team’s first match following their victory in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations on 18 March 2026 in Rabat. The Lions of Teranga are preparing for their participation in the 2026 World Cup.
