On Friday, the German national team continues its journey to the 2026 World Cup qualifiers with an away fixture against Luxembourg. However, head coach Julian Nagelsmann will have to do without defender Nico Schlotterbeck.
Details: According to BILD, Schlotterbeck will miss tomorrow's match as he was unable to take part in the team's training session. Nevertheless, there is still hope that the Borussia Dortmund defender will recover in time for the decisive clash against Slovakia on Monday. Schlotterbeck sustained the injury during Saturday's Bundesliga match between Hamburg and Borussia Dortmund (1-1).
In the current qualifying cycle, the defender has featured in just two matches for Germany, both of which ended in clean sheets for the Germans.
The Luxembourg vs Germany match is scheduled for November 14, with kickoff at 20:45 Central European Time.
At the moment, Germany tops the group with nine points from four matches, edging Slovakia on goal difference.
Reminder: Joshua Kimmich will also miss the game against Luxembourg.
