Real Madrid defeated Manchester City in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals for the 2023/24 season. After a 1-1 draw in regular time and extra time, Real Madrid prevailed in the post-match penalty shootout with a score of 4-3.

However, there was a bit of disappointment amid the victory. According to the Washington Post, star winger Vinícius Júnior of Real Madrid suffered an injury during yesterday's match. The Brazilian forward injured his groin while battling for the ball with Manchester City defender Kyle Walker during extra time.

It's important to note that Real Madrid's next match is against their eternal rival Barcelona on Sunday, April 21st, in La Liga.

In the current season, the 23-year-old Brazilian has scored 18 goals and provided 10 assists in 31 matches for the Royal Club across all competitions.

Real Madrid is confidently leading the Spanish league, ahead of Barcelona by 8 points. In the Champions League semifinals, Real Madrid will face Bayern Munich.
