Yesterday Real Madrid knocked out Manchester City at the stage of 1/4 finals of the Champions League-2023/24. After 1:1 in regulation time and overtime, Madrid won in a penalty shootout 4:3.

Thus Carlo Ancelotti knocked Pep Guardiola's team out of the Champions League for the third time in his career. Previously, he managed to do it in the season-2021/22, as well as in the season-2013/14, when the Spaniard coached Bayern.

No coach in the history of the Champions League has knocked Guardiola's teams out more often than Carlo Ancelotti.

Last season Manchester City and Real Madrid played against each other at the semi-final stage, but then Guardiola's team was stronger.

In the 1/2 finals Real Madrid will play against Bayern, which yesterday defeated Arsenal. The first match will be held on April 30.
