De la Fuente will have to look for a replacement for Yamal in the matches against Georgia and Turkey.

Details: Today, the official website of the Spanish Football Federation announced that 18-year-old Barcelona and Spain winger Lamine Yamal will miss the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Georgia and Turkey.

It is reported that yesterday Yamal underwent an invasive radiofrequency procedure to treat his pubic area injury, which requires around 7-10 days of rest. The procedure was performed without the knowledge of the 'La Roja' medical staff, but they decided not to take any risks and have excluded Yamal from the squad so he can fully recover.

This Saturday, Spain will play away against Georgia, and on November 18, they will host Turkey at home.

Currently, Spain tops the group with 12 points, scoring 15 goals and conceding none.

Previously, there was a conflict between Barcelona and Spain head coach Conrad De la Fuente, as the Catalan club believed the national team coach was irresponsible with Barcelona players by not giving them enough rest.

Reminder: Yamal unhappy with Barcelona’s midfield in match against Celta
