On Sunday, July 28, the skateboarding finals took place at the Paris Olympics.

The gold medal was won by 14-year-old Japanese skater Coco Yoshizawa, who outperformed her compatriot Liz Akamu in the street discipline.

This is Japan's third gold medal at the Paris Olympics. Previously, Japan secured two gold medals in women's and men's judo, with victories by Abe Hifumi and Tsunoda Natsumi.

The bronze medal was claimed by 16-year-old Rayssa Leal from Brazil.

The 2024 Olympics in the French capital runs from July 26 to August 11.
