Japanese judoka Abe Hifumi won the gold medal in men's judo. This is the second gold medal for Japan in Paris. Yesterday, Tsunoda Natsumi from Japan also won gold in the women's 48 kg judo category.

Note that Hifumi has already won a gold medal in judo at the 2020 Olympics.

The silver medal in men's judo was claimed by Brazilian Willian Lima. The bronze medals went to Gusman Kyrgyzbayev from Kazakhstan and Denis Vieru from Moldova. Notably, this is the first medal for Moldova at these Olympic Games.

In the women's 52 kg category, Diyora Keldiyorova from Uzbekistan emerged victorious. She defeated Distria Krasniqi from Kosovo in the final match.

The bronze medals were awarded to Larissa Pimenta from Brazil and Amandine Buchard from France.
