40,000 fans allowed for the Egypt v Angola clash at Cairo Stadium

The Pharaohs are set to kick off their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign in front of their home crowd in Cairo.

As part of the opening round of fixtures, Egypt will host Angola on 25 September at Cairo Stadium. The Egyptian Football Association has announced that the Egyptian authorities have set the number of fans permitted to attend the match at 40,000.

This is therefore the maximum number of spectators who will be able to take their places in the stands at Cairo Stadium for the Pharaohs’ first outing in the qualifiers. Egypt will thus welcome the Palancas Negras to what is likely to be a electric atmosphere.

Both teams will be aiming to get their qualifying campaign for the next Africa Cup of Nations off to a good start. The Pharaohs will, however, be able to count on the support of their home crowd for this opening day of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
