Drawn in Group F, the Stallions will begin their qualifying campaign at home before travelling to Morocco for the matchday 2.

To kick off their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, the Burkina Faso national team will host Benin on 25 September at the Stade du 04 Août in Ouagadougou. The Stallions will be looking to come through this home West African derby successfully to put themselves in a strong position in Group F right from the start of this qualifying campaign.

Three days later, on 28 September, Burkina Faso will take on the Central African Republic. As there is no approved stadium in the Central African Republic, this match will not be played in Bangui but in Casablanca, Morocco, where the Central Africans have chosen to relocate their home fixtures.

These first two matchdays will determine the Stallions’ progress in the qualifiers for the tournament, which is to be jointly hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania in 2027. Burkina Faso were knocked out in the round of 16 at the last Africa Cup of Nations, held in Morocco.
