Manuel Pellegrini's team approach the fixture in third place with 12 points from five matches, while José Bordalás' side sit 14th with five points and have scored only three league goals so far.

Real Betis: momentum, control and a strong home base
Betis arrive in excellent spirits after Monday's 2-1 away victory over Villarreal. Gerard Moreno opened the scoring for the hosts, but Cucho Hernández equalised before Natan completed the turnaround shortly before half-time.
That result extended an impressive run for Pellegrini's team. Betis have now won five of their last six matches in all competitions, with victories over Valencia, Real Sociedad, Real Madrid, Lille and Villarreal during that stretch. Their only major setback was the 5-2 defeat away to Levante.
Their home performances are particularly encouraging ahead of Getafe's visit. Betis have won both of their league fixtures at the Benito Villamarín this season, beating Real Sociedad and Real Madrid by identical 1-0 scorelines. They have therefore combined efficiency in attack with two home clean sheets.
There are still some personnel concerns. Aitor Ruibal is unavailable with a knee problem, while Diego Llorente remains a doubt. Even so, the hosts retain plenty of quality through Isco, Marc Roca, Pablo Fornals, Abde Ezzalzouli and Cucho Hernández, giving Pellegrini several ways to unlock a deep defensive block.
Getafe: defensive resistance, but too little attacking output
Getafe have been much less convincing going forward. Bordalás' team have one win, two draws and two defeats in their opening five league matches, scoring just three times. Their two most recent games both finished 1-1, against Celta Vigo and Deportivo La Coruña.
The away numbers are even more concerning. Getafe lost 3-0 at Alavés and 1-0 at Osasuna in their first two La Liga trips, meaning they are still waiting for their first away league goal of the campaign. That lack of cutting edge could become particularly significant against a Betis side that has yet to concede at home in the league.
Bordalás also has several absences to manage. Abdel Abqar, Andrés García, Kiko Femenía, Juanmi and Christantus Uche are among the players currently unavailable, although Zaid Romero can return after serving a suspension.

Match facts and head-to-head
Betis have won four of their opening five La Liga matches and have collected the maximum six points at home without conceding. Getafe, meanwhile, have scored only three league goals and none in their two away fixtures.
Recent meetings slightly favor the Seville club as well. Betis have won three of the last four encounters between the teams, although Getafe took the most recent meeting 2-0 in March 2026.
Betis should have enough quality to break Getafe down
This does not look like a match in which the hosts will be given much space. Getafe are likely to keep the game compact, defend in numbers and try to make Betis work patiently for every opening. Their own attacking numbers, however, suggest they may struggle to consistently threaten at the other end.
Betis are in significantly better form, have already defeated Real Madrid at home and showed their character again by coming from behind against Villarreal. With Isco orchestrating attacks and Cucho Hernández providing a focal point up front, Pellegrini's side appear to have enough technical quality to eventually find a breakthrough.
Getafe's defensive discipline could keep the score close, but their poor away attacking record makes it difficult to trust them to take points from the Benito Villamarín. The home victory therefore looks like the most logical selection.
