Zamalek Dominates CAF Confederation Cup Team of the Round
On the last matchday of the CAF Confederation Cup group stage, Zamalek SC was named the star of the Best XI, according to "SofaScore." Along with seven other teams, the Egyptian powerhouses guaranteed their places in the tournament's quarterfinals, which came to an end on Sunday.
For their outstanding efforts, Zamalek's trio—Mahmoud Bentayg, Seifeddine Jaziri, and Hossam Abdelmaguid—were recognized. Fakhreddine Ben Youssef, the outstanding forward for Al-Masry, was also included on the list, underscoring the domination of Egyptian teams in the league.
The XI also included Ayman Dahman and Mohamed Nasraoui of Tunisia’s CS Sfaxien, showcasing their defensive prowess despite their team’s group stage exit.
