"You're getting sacked in the morning." Arsenal double their lead in the Community Shield clash
Arsenal have doubled their advantage in the English Super Cup showdown against Manchester City. The second goal for the Gunners was netted by Kai Havertz, who slotted the ball past Gianluigi Donnarumma to make it 2-0 in favor of Mikel Arteta's side.
The Gunners seized control from the opening minutes, dictating the tempo and keeping the match firmly in their grasp. After Riccardo Calafiori's lightning-fast opener, Arteta’s men kept pressing forward and were soon rewarded for their relentless attacking play. Havertz capitalized on yet another opportunity and extended Arsenal's lead.
For Manchester City, the situation is becoming increasingly dire. Enzo Maresca’s team have conceded twice and now face an uphill battle to get back in the game—a tough ask by any measure. Arsenal fans in the stands started chanting towards the City manager: “You’re getting sacked in the morning! You’re getting sacked in the morning!”
Arsenal have secured a comfortable lead and are cruising towards the trophy. Still, with plenty of time left on the clock, Manchester City will be desperate to turn the tide in this contest.
