"Your legacy is unbelievable". Alcaraz spoke to Nadal

World No. 3 Carlos Alcaraz, who has been inspired by Rafael Nadal's achievements since childhood, took the opportunity to pay tribute to his idol following Nadal’s announcement of his retirement from tennis. The young Spaniard shared a heartfelt message dedicated to his legendary compatriot.

Details: On his Instagram page, Alcaraz posted two photos. The first shows him as a child posing with Nadal, and the second captures the duo representing Spain together in the doubles event at the 2024 Olympics. Here’s how he captioned the post:

Quote:

"From a boy who watched you and dreamed of becoming a tennis player, to someone who had the immense honor of playing alongside you, representing Spain at the Games. Thank you so much for being a role model on every level, your legacy is incredible".

Reminder: Earlier today, Alcaraz made a surprising exit from the Shanghai tournament. In the quarterfinals, the Spaniard lost to Czech player Tomáš Macháč.
