Yassine Bounou savours the victory awarded to Morocco

The Moroccan goalkeeper expressed deep relief following the decision by the Appeal Committee of the Confederation of African Football.

Bounou was asked about the matter after the semi-final of the Saudi Arabian King’s Cup, which he played in with his club Al Hilal. The Moroccan international goalkeeper did not hide his emotion as he spoke of the difficult times he had endured during this saga. In his view, Morocco deserves the title of African champions over Senegal.

Even though this decision came late, the feeling of happiness is indescribable. As a Moroccan and a player for the national team, I went through those difficult times, and this is the least we deserved.
