Xavi does not want Barça to buy out the star Portuguese's contract
Barcelona's forward João Félix, whose rights are owned by Atlético Madrid, is not part of Xavi's plans, according to El Chiringuito.
The head coach has indicated to the club's management that he prefers Ferran Torres over the Portuguese forward. Xavi believes it is not worth spending a significant amount to buy out Felix's contract.
Xavi is particularly dissatisfied with Felix's inconsistency, as the Portuguese forward had a promising start to the season but has not scored in over 10 consecutive matches.
It was previously reported in the summer that the loan of Felix was the idea of Joan Laporta, and Xavi had reservations about this transfer.
In 22 appearances for Barcelona, Felix has scored 6 goals and provided 3 assists.
During the latter part of the previous season, the 24-year-old forward had an unsuccessful loan spell with Chelsea.
