Liverpool's defensive leader could be on his way to London.
Details: According to L'Equipe, even though Xabi Alonso has not yet officially taken over as Chelsea's head coach, he has already started drawing up a shortlist of potential summer signings he wants to bring to the club.
One of the most sensational names on that list is Liverpool's defensive stalwart Ibrahima Konaté, who could join Chelsea as a free agent.
Reports suggest that Liverpool have failed to agree a new contract with Konaté, opening the door for Chelsea to land the Frenchman without a transfer fee.
This season, Konaté has made 51 appearances for Liverpool, scoring 2 goals. His market value, according to Transfermarkt, stands at €50 million, but his contract with Liverpool expires in a month.
