Xabi Alonso wants Real Madrid to sign Wirtz this summer

Under Xabi Alonso's guidance, Florian Wirtz has blossomed into a true superstar—and their partnership might not be over yet.

Details: According to Marca, Xabi Alonso has told Real Madrid's management that he wants to continue working with Wirtz.

The Madrid club's executives have been tracking the German midfielder for a long time and are now ready to seriously challenge Bayern Munich for his signature.

It is believed that Real are the only club capable of convincing Wirtz to turn down a move to Munich.

Wirtz's potential transfer fee could exceed 100 million euros.

Across 197 appearances for Bayer Leverkusen, Wirtz has racked up 57 goals and 65 assists.

Reminder: Yesterday, it was reported that Manchester City dropped out of the race for Wirtz.
