Bayer Leverkusen is not intending to sell their team leader, Florian Wirtz, this summer. The club considers him untouchable during the upcoming transfer window, as he has no plans to depart.

This was one of the pivotal points discussed with Xabi Alonso when he opted to stay. The coach requested Bayer's management not to offload their key player.

It is expected that the race for the player will commence in the summer of 2025, with top clubs from England, Germany, and Spain vying for his signature.

The 20-year-old Wirtz has been part of Bayer's system since 2020. This season, the attacking midfielder has featured in 43 matches across all competitions, scoring 17 goals and providing 19 assists. Transfermarkt values the German international (16 caps, 1 goal) at €110 million.

Earlier it was reported that the top defender is ready to leave Bayer for the best clubs in Europe.
