Wow! Emiliano Martinez could move to a Premier League giant
Emiliano Martinez could get an unexpected opportunity to stay in the Premier League — but continue his career in London.
Details: According to renowned insider David Ornstein, Emiliano Martinez has been offered to Chelsea by his representatives, with the west London club now considering the possibility of signing the 33-year-old goalkeeper before the transfer window closes.

Aston Villa are open to allowing the Argentina international to leave. The Birmingham club have already signed Zion Suzuki from Parma and installed the Japanese goalkeeper as their new first choice, while Martinez has made it clear that he is interested in taking on a new challenge.
Chelsea have not yet submitted an official offer and no agreement has been reached, but the Blues are seriously assessing the opportunity. Their goalkeeping situation has come under increased scrutiny after Robert Sanchez made costly errors in the 3-2 Premier League victory over Fulham, although 21-year-old Mike Penders is still regarded internally as a potential long-term No. 1.
It is worth noting that Martinez has made 256 competitive appearances for Aston Villa since joining the club from Arsenal in 2020. He has also recorded 60 Premier League clean sheets for Villa, the second-highest total in the club's history behind Mark Bosnich, who registered 64.
