Wow! Chelsea rejected a Premier League club's loan bid for Mudryk. Will he stay in London?
Mykhailo Mudryk's future remains one of Chelsea's biggest transfer puzzles in the final days of the summer window.
Details: According to Ukrainian outlet ТаТоТаке, Brentford were among the most persistent contenders for the 25-year-old winger and tried to secure him on loan until the end of the 2026/27 season.
The Bees also wanted the agreement to include a clause that would give them priority when activating an option to buy Mudryk permanently. Chelsea, however, were not prepared to accept that structure and rejected the proposal.
The Blues do not want to take unnecessary risks with a player they still consider a valuable asset and intend to retain control over his future. Public reports in England have also confirmed Brentford's interest and Chelsea's reluctance to approve a loan agreement containing a purchase option.
Brentford are not the only Premier League side trying to land the Ukrainian. Chelsea previously rejected Leeds' opening loan proposal, while the Yorkshire club subsequently prepared an improved offer. Mudryk's destination therefore remains unresolved as the transfer window approaches its final stage.

It is worth noting that Mudryk joined Chelsea from Shakhtar Donetsk in January 2023 for €70 million plus up to €30 million in bonuses. In his last full season before his suspension, the Ukrainian made 41 appearances in all competitions, scoring 7 goals and providing 2 assists.
