Details: Renowned insider Fabrizio Romano reports that Leeds United are preparing a new loan bid for Chelsea winger Mykhaylo Mudryk, with talks between the clubs still ongoing. Last week, the Blues rejected the Yorkshire side's opening proposal for a straight season-long loan, but Daniel Farke's club are determined to find a structure that satisfies Chelsea's demands.
The 25-year-old Ukrainian recently returned to action after his doping case was resolved, having spent 20 months on the sidelines. He is fully expected to leave Chelsea on loan before the window closes, as Xabi Alonso does not count on him. The Blues would prefer to send the winger to their sister club Strasbourg, but Mudryk himself is keen to stay in the Premier League. Coventry, where Frank Lampard dreams of a reunion, have also shown interest in the Ukrainian.
For Leeds, landing a player of this level on loan would be a real market coup as the club fight for Premier League survival. It's worth noting that Mudryk joined Chelsea from Shakhtar Donetsk in January 2023 for €70 million plus €30 million in bonuses, and in his last full season before the suspension he recorded 7 goals and 2 assists in 41 appearances across all competitions.
