On Tuesday, 27 January, the quarter-final of the 2026 Australian Open (WTA) took place, in which world No. 3 Coco Gauff faced world No. 12 Elina Svitolina.

Details: Ukraine’s Elina Svitolina left no chances for her American opponent. The first set lasted just 29 minutes and ended with Gauff being dismantled 1–6. The second set lasted only one minute longer.

Svitolina wrapped up Gauff in 30 minutes and defeated her 6–2. As a result, the match lasted just 59 minutes and ended in a convincing 2–0 victory for the Ukrainian.

World No. 3 Coco Gauff exits the tournament. Next, Elina Svitolina will face world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka.
