On Monday, January 12, the world of French football was struck by the sad news of the death of former player Roland Courbis.

Details: RMC and the family of the former footballer reported the tragic news. Roland Courbis passed away on Monday, January 12, at the age of 72.

Courbis played as a defender and wide midfielder. He won three French league titles: one with Marseille and two with Monaco. He also claimed a title with Olympiacos and won two French Cups.

After retiring from playing, he became a coach, achieving several titles in that role as well. With Ajaccio, he won Ligue 2, and he also lifted the Algerian Cup and the Arab Champions Cup with USM Alger.
