Wolverhampton has reached an agreement to appoint Rob Edwards as head coach following the dismissal of Vitor Pereira.

Details: According to Fabrizio Romano, Edwards will leave Middlesbrough to sign a contract with the Wolves. The club’s management sees the 41-year-old specialist as the ideal candidate to rebuild the team after a disappointing start to the season.

Edwards has previously worked within the Wolverhampton system, coaching the youth team before going on to manage Watford and Luton Town. He is currently in charge at Middlesbrough.

Recall: Wolverhampton parted ways with Vitor Pereira after the team failed to secure a single win in the Premier League this season.
