Without his father: John Fury won't be in Tyson's corner for the Usyk fight
Tyson Fury's trainer, SugarHill Steward, has confirmed that the boxer's father, John Fury, will not be in the corner during his bout against Oleksandr Usyk, reports Daily Mail.
"Last time the corner was hectic, especially towards the end of the fight. There were three different voices in there, SugarHill, John and me. I can understand, from a dad’s point of view, he was trying to protect his son. But SugarHill was trying to win the fight. I was told Tyson was two rounds down and I had to communicate that to him," explained Tyson’s other trainer, Andy Lee, regarding the decision.
John Fury also made headlines with a controversial incident in the lobby of the Riyadh Hilton Hotel in Riyadh before Tyson and Usyk’s first fight in May. He attempted to attack one of Usyk's team members, Stanislav Stepchuk, headbutting him. The incident left John with a bloody forehead.
Tyson is taking his preparation for the rematch very seriously, aiming to eliminate any distractions. He even revealed that during his training, he went three months without speaking to his wife, Paris.
Fury admitted that to secure victory in this fight, he needs to maintain absolute focus and concentration.
