Winning streak ends. Liverpool and Newcastle draw in a thrilling 3-3 match
Liverpool traveled to Newcastle for their Premier League match on Wednesday, December 4. The game turned out to be incredibly exciting.
In the first half, the Magpies took the lead, but just after the restart, the score was quickly leveled at 1-1. The teams then exchanged goals in quick succession.
In the 62nd minute, Anthony Gordon put Newcastle back in front, but just six minutes later, Mohamed Salah equalized. Then, in the 83rd minute, the Egyptian winger completed a brace to give the Reds a 3-2 lead. However, Newcastle refused to give up and managed to salvage a point in the 90th minute, drawing 3-3.
As a result, Newcastle ended Liverpool’s seven-match winning streak across all competitions. The Reds dropped points, now sitting on 35 points after 14 matches.
