Alongside Liverpool's head coach, Jürgen Klopp, the entire coaching staff, including his renowned assistant Pep Lijnders, will depart the club. However, Lijnders won't remain idle for long.

As reported by Graham Bailey, Lijnders is set to embark on an independent coaching career in his homeland. The 41-year-old Dutch specialist will assume the role of the new head coach for Ajax.

Lijnders has been with Liverpool since the summer of 2015, previously assisting Paulo Fonseca and Luís Castro at Porto.

Ajax is facing a disappointing season, currently occupying the 5th position in Eredivisie. The team from Amsterdam was eliminated from the Europa League earlier, and in the first round of the Conference League playoffs, they were bested by Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt. In the round of 16, the Dutch side will face Aston Villa.

Since October, Ajax has been under the leadership of John van 't Schip.
