Marcel Koller, the coach of Al Ahly, is said to want to sign Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, who is currently playing for Al Rayyan on loan, to help the team in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

Al Ahly, the Egyptian champions, are in a tough Group A with Palmeiras, Porto, and Inter Miami. Koller thinks Trezeguet, a skilled winger, could be very important in improving Al Ahly’s attacking strength in this big competition.

“Trezeguet is at the top of Koller’s wishlist for the Club World Cup,” a source revealed, adding that the idea has received positive feedback from both the player and Al Ahly’s management. Negotiations, nevertheless, might depend on Trabzonspor's financial demands. The 29-year-old's contract with Trabzonspor runs through 2026.

As the team strives for an unforgettable campaign on the global scene, the prospect of Trezeguet donning an Al Ahly jersey adds even more excitement.
