Club World Cup: Egypt’s Al Ahly Set to Clash with Messi’s Inter Miami in Historic 2025 Tournament

Egypt's Al Ahly and the American Inter Miami, the host of the 2025 Club World Cup, will play an exciting first match thanks to the draw held today, Thursday, in Miami, where the two teams were placed in Group A alongside Portugal's Porto and Brazil's Palmeiras.
Inter Miami is representing the host country, the United States, while Al Ahly is competing as Africa's champion. Palmeiras, the 2021 Copa Libertadores winner, will also play, and Porto earned its spot by doing well in Europe.
FIFA announced that the tournament's opening match will take place on June 15, 2025, at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. With Lionel Messi playing for Inter Miami, this matchup is certain to get a lot of interest.
The competition will now take place every four years rather than annually, and the 2025 edition will be historic as 32 teams compete for the first time. The competition will take place between June 15 and July 13, 2025.
