Will he sign a new contract? Miami leader decides on future plans

Miami Heat leader Jimmy Butler has decided on his plans for the near future.

According to insider Shams Charania of The Athletic, Butler has decided that he will play under his current contract next season. The basketball player does not plan to sign a new agreement or change teams until his current contract expires in the summer of 2025, after opting out of the player option.

It is noted that Butler plans to perform at a high level next season and seek a salary increase either with Miami or another club next summer. However, Jimmy prefers to stay in Miami if the club makes such an offer.

The 34-year-old Butler has been with the Heat since 2019. This season, he averaged 20.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 5 assists per game.
