The family of former Calgary Flames hockey player Johnny Gaudreau gathered in Calgary for a heartfelt farewell ceremony at the Flames' home arena. During the tribute, his wife, Meredith, revealed a tattoo on her wrist featuring Johnny’s signature, reports TMZ.

Meredith shared that this was her first tattoo, and to make it even more meaningful, she wore bracelets gifted to her by Johnny on the same wrist.

The pre-game ceremony included a tribute video dedicated to Gaudreau. Both teams warmed up in his No. 13 jersey to honor his memory. In a touching moment, Johnny’s father performed the ceremonial puck drop to symbolize the start of the game.

Johnny Gaudreau tragically passed away in a cycling accident during the summer of 2024. He and his brother Matthew were biking in rural New Jersey when they were struck and killed by a car driven by an intoxicated driver.

Gaudreau spent nine memorable seasons with the Calgary Flames, becoming a beloved figure in the hockey community.
