The West Indies squad was docked 10% of their match fee after umpire Reon King imposed the penalty, citing the hosts' failure to bowl two overs within the required time.
In delivering its verdict, the international cricket committee referenced Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Support Personnel, which states that players are fined five percent of their match fee for every over their side fails to complete within the allotted time.
West Indies captain Hayley Matthews fully accepted her team's responsibility and stated that she considered the punishment to be deserved.
