West Ham footballer Michail Antonio, who was involved in a terrifying car crash last December, has shared a glimpse into his recovery after that harrowing incident. He posted an emotional video on his Instagram page.
The footage captures his entire rehabilitation journey, beginning from his hospital bed after surgery. Antonio captioned the video with the phrase, “Faith will overcome all challenges,” highlighting what gave him strength throughout this tough ordeal.
As a reminder, Michail Antonio crashed his £260,000 Ferrari near Theydon Bois in Essex while returning from a training session. His car was left wrecked, and the footballer suffered a broken leg.
It’s worth noting that Antonio’s West Ham teammates never forgot about him — they visited him in the hospital and took part in a club initiative, coming out for the first match after the crash wearing shirts with Antonio’s name. Those shirts were later signed and auctioned off to raise funds for Michail’s treatment.
